As a user with your free profile, you can post and comment without limit, and use all basic options (emoji, GIFs, and more) without restriction.
However, free users have a media upload limit (images and videos), which is currently set to 1 media item per month (including profile picture and cover image). If you wish to upload more media, you can become a Resident.
