Your privacy: settings & options
At Storyexpe, you have at any time full control over your privacy. You can control and change privacy settings regarding the visibility of your profile, specific sections of your profile and any content you post on Storyexpe. A complete range of options allow you to set and modify your customized privacy preferences.
You have access to the privacy settings through your profile: you just have to select "Settings" in the menu.
• Change password: here you can change your password and verify the ideal security level of your new password. Please note your password, because Storyexpe does never save passwords.
• Email settings: here you have a complete overview about your email options. You can select for every function when you wish to receive an email notice.
• Profile visibility: you have the possibility to select for every section of your profile and for your information your preferred level of visibility.
• Privacy settings: general options for the visibility of your profile.
• Export your data: according to GDPR / CCPA, here you have at any moment the possibility to request an export of your personal data. You have a complete overview about the items. After your request, you will receive as soon as possible an email with the download- link.
Report inappropriate content / block members
You have the possibility to block or suspend members and to report inappropriate content. Please select the corresponding option within the profile.
About your Information
We will not use any of your submitted information for any purpose outside your participation in Storyexpe. We will never send you emails about any kind of products, services or promotional offers. We guarantee, that we will never submit any information to third parties.
Apart from the registration- form, all information that you decide to submit with your participation at Storyexpe are voluntary disclosures, and subject to your own control and responsibility.
We limit the collected information to those strictly necessary for registration and a legally unexceptionable participation. These are the data from the registration form. We expressly do not request any information that are not strictly indispensable, e.g. your telephone number. We also don’t ask for such additional information that make it easier for others to find you, leaving these at your discretion.
For the privacy settings about activities about your profile or groups, it is possible to select the level of privacy / visibility of information and content, restrict and delete them.
This platform uses plug-ins from third parties to ensure the best experience with the services offered. Storyexpe verifies their conformity as accurately as possible, using all security systems necessary to enable and monitor data protection. Storyexpe rejects any liability arising from negligence, service interruptions, data abuse or any kind of malfunction by third party plug- ins, undertaking to remove them immediately if there is a well-founded suspicion of any of these eventualities. including hosting service, are provided by external partners.
Following, we indicate the purpose of the data processing.
Information we collect
We will not collect information about your statistics (your communication on Storyexpe, visited pages, number of messages, any information about your log-in).
We don’t collect statistics about the content you provide.
We don’t collect device- specific statistics or save information about: your operating system, hardware, unique application identifiers, language, browser type, your connection (e.g. phone number). Furthermore, we don’t collect statistics about your contacts (friends) on Storyexpe.
To comply with any legal obligations concerning the traceability of content, we may temporary collect log information about: your access (access times), device information, IP address, location. We will not save or use this information for any purpose, except:
1) Traceability in case of legal disputes about contents / information you have submitted on Storyexpe.
2) Traceability about your communication with other users on Storyexpe, possibly not in accordance with legal regulations.
The pages, contents, groups and profiles visited by users are not tracked in order to collect data, trace personal preferences, propose personalized content. Especially, none of this information is made available to third parties. Each user can at any time control, modify and delete information on the own profile. Storyexpe does never track users' offline behavior or any kind of information. Content and data are monitored for security reasons and to ensure compliance with laws and internal rules, but never to provide personalized content.
Use of media and content on Storyexpe
Images, videos, texts and links that you upload on Storyexpe are under your own exclusive responsibility. We will not collect any information for different purposes. Only you decide the destination of your information and content.
At any time, users have the possibility to view their content posted in the past, and to download their content from their profile to personal devices. At any time, users have the possibility to update and modify personal information on their profile.
Information from third parties
We may directly or indirectly collect information that other users provide about you when they use Storyexpe. We decline in every case any responsibility about any kind of data and information published on Storyexpe.
Should you note on Storyexpe any kind of information that violates your privacy, please contact us. we will provide a verification in the quickest possible processing time, and if we encounter an actual violation of your privacy, we will provide modification or removal of the respective content.
Privacy Impact Assessment
Storyexpe does not use automated decisions (e.g. custom data processing based on algorithms).
There is no extensive data processing.
Scoring and profiling are not used.
There is no systematic monitoring of customers.
The company does not merge or compare data.
No data of particularly vulnerable persons is processed.
New technologies are not used for the purpose of data processing and/or data transmission.
There is no data transfer to third countries. Services from third countries are used, but data are never sold, transferred or made available for any processing.
Storyexpe undertakes to respond within a maximum period of one month to each request concerning the processing of data. For this purpose, specific contact possibilities are made available to users via email.
Users have the possibility to revoke the use of cookies at any time.
Information processing
We will use only public and voluntarily submitted information (on places of our site, that are visible for all registered users) to:
- Develop and improve our offer.
- Monitor and analyse trends.
- Enhance safety and security of our offers.
- Prevent fraud or other unauthorized or illegal activity.
- Enforce our Terms of Service and other usage policies.
In no case, any private information (e.g. from registration- form, personal data or location) will be used for this purpose.
Information you submit will only be used for the purpose, for which you have submitted the information (e.g. to answer an email), but never for:
- Sending you individual (or anyway not required) offers.
- Personalize services or custom individual content.
- Suggesting friends or customized activities.
- Customize the content to show you.
Information we share
With the exceptions listed below, we don’t share your information with third parties. This means that publishing any content on Storyexpe, you are aware that other users may have access to your content, but only you decide how and where you want to share your content.
We disclaim any responsibility for the use that other users may make of your content, inside and outside of Storyexpe.
Copyright
By publishing on Storyexpe, you agree to take full responsibility for the copyright of your content. Even after deleting your content, you are still the sole responsible for it, and of any use that is made of it.
We will not share your information with affiliates, third parties or advertisers. Except:
we may share your information for legal reasons, and/or to comply with:
- governmental request;
- any valid legal process;
- any applicable law, rule or regulation;
- to detect and resolve any fraud or security concerns.
- to investigate, remedy, or enforce potential Terms of Service violations;
- to protect our, our users' or others' rights, property and safety.
We also may share your information with third parties as part of a merger or acquisition, before and after the transaction.
You acknowledge and agree that interacting with third parties on Storyexpe, you assume full responsibility for any shared content. This also applies to links on Storyexpe regarding external pages, regardless of whether they have been published by us or by third parties. We disclaim any responsibility for all links published by us or third parties on Storyexpe, and for every consequence that implies the interaction with any link on Storyexpe.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of every third-party website that you visit.
We don’t allow other companies to use tracking technologies on Storyexpe, or any technology to collect information about how you use our services or interact with other websites.
Information we save
We don’t save any of your information you publish on Storyexpe, and we don’t save copies of your content after that you have canceled it.
Of course every information (text, image, video, etc.) could be shared or saved by other users inside and outside of Storyexpe. This could be done with a use that does not match with your intention or your consent. You acknowledge and agree that you assume full responsibility for the content you publish on Storyexpe, excluding Storyexpe from any liability regarding the use of your content made by users or third parties.
Content or account-related requests
On request, we will modify appropriately or remove every content content, from which you can prove the copyright, of which improper or unauthorized use has been made by other users or third parties on Storyexpe. We can not guarantee, that deletion will occur within a specific time frame. We reserve the right to reject a request for different reasons, for example: if the request requires technical or other efforts that are disproportionate to the request, if the request is unlawful or risks the privacy of other users.
We may reject requests for updates about your account, if you have direct access to these updates on your account.
For reasons of privacy or security, we may ask you to verify your identity or provide additional information.
Any request regarding your account will be processed for free, but if it would require a disproportionate effort on our part, we may charge a fee, that will disclose before we comply with your request.
We reserve the right to remove or to save any content, if necessary without prior notice, if there are reports or motives of a legal nature which induce us or oblige us to do so.
Just as only one profile per person is allowed, we reserve the right to restrict, in certain circumstances, (and if appropriate to close, even without prior notice) the number of groups created by a user, e.g. if they are repetitive, if with their quantity they compromise the thematic balance of the category, or if they are in disproportionate quantity compared to a reasonable use.
Account deletion
If you decide to delete your account, you can do it on your profile, without further request. Please keep in mind that you will not have the possibility to restore your account later, so all information on your account will be deleted.
Communication with other users on Storyexpe
You can make your information accessible only to a part of Storyexpe- users, choosing to participate or creating groups with limited access. Only you have the full control about the users participating to groups that you have created. The administration of the groups you create is subject to your responsibility for any content and behavior of all participants, including compliance with the rules of Storyexpe and the general compliance of mutual respect, in line with courtesy and cordiality that distinguishes the participation at Storyexpe.
Advertising or other forms of commercial presence
Expertise is an important aspect of Storyexpe. We try to propose the most appropriate and interesting solutions for each category. Our partners and third parties choose to place their expertise, presence and advertisement where they believe it could be more useful, perceived by more interested users and have the widest spread, even outside of Storyexpe. This happens only through the information that you share by posting them on Storyexpe. We don’t collect or share any of your information for advertising.
Revisions to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update or modify part of this Privacy Policy periodically. Depending on how we think it appropriate, we will inform you by email, on Storyexpe with an appropriate message on the homepage, or revising the date at the top of the Privacy Policy.
