When I saw this Ocean Drive area, I suddenly had something like a nostalgic moment about my very first days when I moved to L.A.., after it had been my dream for basically my entire life, as far as where memory leads me back (and after a very extensive reality- check, to make sure that my dream would not become my nightmare). Since I could not find photographs that could represent the depth of my nostalgia for those very first days in L.A., I decided to recreate them myself. Less authentic, but more sincere.
