Make sure that the two people you care for most in life are, first and foremost, your past and future selves. Always stay true to who you are, so that you can become the truest version of yourself. That’s the best way to be a positive person to those around you.

The night is magic… for writers. I know that the idea of writing at night may be romantic, though often incompatible with a normal routine. But there is something magical about sharing your thoughts with ghosts while no other humans are around.

Poets vs. sadness.

We all experience sad days. But a poet will instill a small yet beautiful thought within the sadness itself. And, like a pearl, that thought will one day evolve into a sweet nostalgia.

What's the best place to write?

Yes, there is the romantic idea of the writer who writes by candlelight in an old library of a Victorian building. But maybe not all writers live in a Victorian building or have access to a mysterious library.

Does the soulmate exist? Only the soul knows, and as far as I know it doesn't tell the mind.

Obsession can be the best motivation for productivity. To achieve results you thought were impossible. But it may be volatile. It's an extreme attitude, difficult to keep. Discipline is something you can learn, improve and make as a habit.

When you read a book, you dont' just "consume" content. You give words and concepts in your mind the power to form completely new thoughts and ideas. And to understand better new ones.

Learn to be silent more often. Silence is not a void of words. It’s a depth of thoughts.

Someone's face is generally what fascinates us first. The voice is what we pay attention to. The soul is what in whose depths we will search for the reasons why we fell in love.

TIMELINE / WHO'S LIVE

• Have you ever imagined finding a manuscript that describes your parallel life? I have, and I wrote a book about it. Tell me your thoughts (...or your experiences, if this has actually happened to you). Enter the "Book presentation" in Events.

• This community is for writers and poets. Just enter the conversations below, and feel at home.

• Most of us have a clear picture about many of the past decades, at least the most iconic ones. ...But what about the last few decades? And what picture will we have one day about our present? Yes, we are living fleeting times. But have we maybe lost our zeitgeist? Don't get lost in the past, and enter the discussion in Events.

The last thing to think about before going to sleep?

The mistake you will never regret?

If you could travel back in time...

The dream you would like to dream...

My personal experience as a coaching & lifestyle writer: the most beautiful expression of life doesn’t happen when you have realized all your projects. The most beautiful expression of life happens the moment you notice that the first and smallest decision you have ever made to realize your dreams finally begins to sprout.

Enjoy the little things of life. One day, you may look back and notice that they where actually big things. And in their biggest form they will manifest as regrets.

Procrastination means leaving a time suspended that you should have filled with action. Nothing constructive will come from emptiness. You won't be able to draw any conclusions from the void.

Fear will condemn you to a life of restraint. And what's the biggest fear? The unknown. What's the unknown? Everything beyond your comfort zone. Even if it's just behind the corner.

When you see people that are more successful than you, don’t just copy them. Absorb what they do and implement it into your own strategy.

TIMELINE / WHO'S LIVE

• Have you ever imagined traveling back to when you were a kid, say around 10 years old, and reliving a specific period of your life? I have, and I’m writing a column about it. If you’d like, join me as we journey through the '80s. Whether you experienced this decade or not, it’s going to be a fascinating trip. The first installments are already online, in "Columns & story-lines" in Events. (By: Patrick DeKelter).

• Hey everybody, I'm Scott Namara and I've created the first Australia community on Storyexpe. And since it wouldn't be as fun, I offer 5 spaces for engaged content creators focused on Australia. Join the community in Events and go live.

• You think that wine tastings are only for connoisseurs? ...Well, they probably are, but certainly not this one. Enter the tasting in Events and see for yourself.
